OptogeniX partners with Companies specialized in silicon based multielectrode array (MEA) probes to realize opto-electrodes (or optrodes) that combine the capability of MEAs to monitor single unit and network activity with the versatile optical manipulation properties of tapered fibers. Optrodes are designed to be minimally invasive with a defined spatial separation between the silicon neural probes and the fiber cannula to minimize local tissue damage, and maintaining proximity to deliver sufficient light power to the region of interest.

NeuroNexus

NeuroNexus provides optrodes based on their proprietary silicon probes or on SiNAPS pixel probes.

Cambridge NeuroTech

Cambridge NeuroTech provides ready-made acute optrodes.
